Woods Promoted to Top Lending Position with Community First

 

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Jerry Woods has been promoted to Senior Lending Officer/ Senior Vice President of Community First Bank & Trust, Marc Lively, President and CEO, announced today. Woods will be responsible for retaining and growing the bank’s commercial and industrial presence within the counties that the bank serves, as well as all other commercial loan product concentrations at the bank.

“Jerry has the experience and the leadership to serve the needs of our current and prospective business customers,” said Lively. “He understands more than just the financial needs of a business – he has vast experience working with small- to medium-sized businesses from the ground up.”  In addition to more than 30 years of banking experience, Woods recently founded a consulting firm focused on management, marketing, and financial advisement geared toward businesses at any stage in the life cycle.

 

Woods has been instrumental in initiating and overseeing Small Business Administration (SBA) lending programs and policies for banks across the country. Under his direction, four banks have achieved SBA Preferred Lender status by demonstrating proficiency in processing and servicing SBA-guaranteed loans. Woods is also a former member of the board of directors of the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL), which serves the needs and represents the interests of the small business lending community that utilizes SBA and other government guaranteed loan programs.
