Franks Graduates from School of Banking

Community First Bank & Trust is proud to announce that Michael Franks, Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager, is among the 194 bankers receiving graduation diplomas on June 4, 2010 from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. This three-year program provides courses covering all aspects of banking, economics and related subjects.

Sponsored by 15 southern state bankers associations in cooperation with the Division of Continuing Education at LSU, the banking school requires attendance on campus for three years, with extensive bank study assignments between sessions. The School’s purpose is to fill the need for graduate-level study by bank officers and others meeting admission requirements leading toward a broader knowledge and understanding of major banking functions such as credits, investments, asset and liability management, planning and control, regulatory issues, human resources, and marketing.  The faculty consists of bankers, business and professional leaders, and educators from all parts of the U.S.

Michael joined Community First Bank in September of 2006 as a Business Development Director and shortly moved to Branch Manager of the James Campbell location of Community First Bank & Trust.
